Sunday we had supper at Orin and Gwen's. Afterwards Orin gave us a demonstration on glass blowing. It was quite wonderful to see how he creates his artwork.
This is not the same swan that he was making in the pictures above, but it is similar. The colored water acts as a barometer, rising and falling in the swan's neck with changes in atmospheric pressure.

Hey Karen, I stumbled upon this blog, and I recognize this guy! Fun to see your pictures and see you in your new setting and place. It looks too cold however! Think our 50 degree weather isn't bad.
