Quilting time

We are enjoying having Alisa home for the holidays. She and I have been spending a lot of time in the rec room with our quilting projects.
The pattern of the quilt she is working on is called "Square in a square."

Here is the "new" used quilting machine and frame I purchased recently from a lady in Torrington. I just got it up and running this week. Here are the quilts I have been working on:

Polly made this one - she embroidered the cute blocks on her embroidery machine.

Close up of block and how I quilted it.

Here is the second quilt Polly made and I quilted for her.

Closeup of back of the crazy quilt above. It is really green - my computer makes it look brown for some reason.

Lana made this quilt and I quilted it and bound it for her.

Lana made this quilt for a raffle for their Nisland high school wrestling team. I quilted it but I am going to leave the binding and finishing to her. I reallly appreciate Polly and Lana trusting me with these quilts to practice on. It takes a lot of practice and experience to get good on the quilting machine - and I need practice!

It looks like you two had a great time quilting. Sometime back when you had pulled out your fabric I thought that I wished I lived closer to you and I could share some of my fabric stash, or else you could get me motivated on quilting. I used to have big ideas in that area, but those ideas seem to have gone away but the fabric hasn't. It is always fun to check in with you. Linda

You are the most talented lady Karen :) It was good to see you, Dave & Alisa again. Darrell has a new song to share with Dave. "If you're going to play in Fargo, you gotta have a shovel in the van!"
Love, Bonnie
