Grand start to a New Year!

We have enjoyed a busy several weeks with lots of company and lots going on. Alisa was home from college for almost a month - during which time she finished her quilt top and got it quilted on my machine. That was a learning experience for both of us - it turned out really nice. She left for Laramie yesterday and will start back to class on Monday. Ty came through and stayed a couple of nights on his way to Nebraska to hunt geese. Lana also came last weekend, and it was special to have them all here at one time for a little while. Almost every night Dave and Alisa - and who ever else was around - enjoyed making music on the piano and guitar - and lots of singing.

As Ty, Lana and Alisa were all here at once and Glenn and Justin were scheduled to arrive the same time, we hurried to get the guest apartment in a livable condition so Glenn and Justin could sleep out there. We appreciated all the help getting the laminate floor down in one of the bedrooms - it went very fast with 5 of us working on it. We have carpet coming for the other bedroom next Monday. There is still quite a little work to be done, but we are getting closer!

Here is the crew just after we got the laminate floor down - very quickly we had a bed set up and the girls were making the bed, getting it ready for Justin to sleep there in a few hours. Dave and Glenn had the door up before night came.

We had Ty, Lana and Alisa home together over one night. While they were home, we had lots of music sessions - Dave tutored Ty on the guitar and Alisa on the banjo.
