Selling cows, visiting friends, making valentines...

I'll post a few pictures of what has been going on in our lives lately. Today was the ZN auction of their cows at Torrington Livestock. Lots of the family was there to offer support and watch the 800+ bred cows move through the auction ring.
This past weekend we visited Willis and Kathy at the Double 8 at Elk Mountain. We had a wonderful time visiting about all the things we have common interest in. Here Kathy is showing me one of her quilt tops - it is all hand appliqued. She plans to hand quilt it. Beautiful!

Willis was showing Dave the lodge - lots of fun remembering things that happened in the time Dave worked on the ranch.

Aunt Orlinda and Corbin.

We were in Laramie for a potluck and sing - here is part of the group that gathered there at Joe and Jan's.

Just had to post a picture of Karen and Wava - friends from way back!

John and Esther, Monique, Dave and me.

The event was to celebrate all the nearby birthdays, and here are all the birthday celebrants!

I had to include this one - grandpa wanted to make valentine cards for his 6 grandkids. So I got out the cardmaking supplies one evening and he went to work. I think he now has a greater appreciation of homemade cards - they are lots of work to put together! A true labor of love.

What a great post! A pretty emotional day for everyone selling all the cows. Wow, what a change! Lots of years and memories represented by that set of cows. I'm glad lots of family were there together that day.
The kids sure loved their handmade cards - glad to see Dad in action, making them! :)
All the pictures are great - I can't believe hoe much Orlinda has grown up since we last saw her!
Thanks for all the pictures!
Love, Michelle

Great post. What a good grandpa making the cards himself! They're lot of fun but lots of work to make. Myrna
