Welcoming 2010.

Here are some pictures taken when Dave's family was here for Loretta's funeral.

Dave with his brother Ben Wisseman from Oregon and sister, Ruth Embleton, from Delaware.

Chris and Julie Soderberg, Paul and Loretta's son and wife, from Pine Dale.

Ruth and Dick Embleton with the members of thier family that were here for the funeral.

Devin, Eldon, and Dustin officiated at Loretta's funeral.

Dave officiated at Lisa and Nate Smith's wedding in October - at Estes Park, Colorado.

A sampling of what you will find at the Lickety Stitch Quilt shop, opening soon in Lusk!

Wayne and Wanda came to visit - and got snowed in with the Wisseman-Frohbieter clan for a couple days. We certainly enjoyed our time together!

Here is the whole clan - getting all the kids together is a rare and precious occasion!
Wade braiding Sadie's hair.

One big project undertaken while the kids were here was to sort through a large collection of photos, letters, and papers that had collected over the years.

A picture of the mission as it looks now. The project has been on hold since December while we are working on getting the store building ready.

Great pictures - you got some really good ones while everyone was there both at Christmas and at Loretta's funeral!

Can't wait to see the quilt store - sounds like progress is being made pretty quickly! Just wish I were close enough to come be a regular customer there! :)

Love,
Michelle

Karen, thanks so much for the update. I did so enjoy it. Don't forget to let us know when the shop opens up....some of us may just have to take a drive some sunny day and check it out!! That would be fun...more fun if I were a quilter. Linda

Karen, thanks for the update! I love looking at your blog because of all the familiar faces and places. It just always feels a little like "home." And speaking of familiar faces. . . that family picture must have been a feat!! I'm so impressed! It turned out great. What a special time that must have been. Also, "Lickety Stitch" is a fantastic name for your quilt store! Although possibly misleading. . . I don't think there'd be anything "lickety" about me trying to stitch someting :)

Hey Karen, it is fun to see all the pictures and get a look at what you are doing. I have to say you inspired me and I have a few projects in the works now. I am off to the fabric store tomorrow. :-)
Looking forward to the quilt store!

Karen, was fun to see all the pictures and everyone, even though I don't know many. Fun to hear about your new store...Heidi is taking quilting in 4-H and starting on her 2nd quilt this year. She would love to come to your store!
