What do you do when the nearest fabric or craft store is many miles way away and you get an urge to be creative? You drag out all your boxes and containers of fabric pieces and spread them all over the floor! Although it isn't very evident in this picture, I have some of them sorted into piles of possibilities to use together in projects. Some of the pieces I don't know what I will ever make with them! An idea hit me this morning, maybe I could make some charity quilts for kids. There are various places that organize and give out quilts to needy kids. I went on one website for their suggestions, patterns, and requirements. If I got a few quilts made, I could find a place locally to donate them. They had some really cute bright colored quilts on the website that people had made and donated - I don't think the fabrics I have in mind would make up that cute, but I think I could do something creative with them. We'll see if I get around to actually doing it soon! (P.S. It is a good idea to do this on a day that the rest of the family is gone - Dave left early to take a bus to Casper and he is going to be gone most of the day. Hopefully I will have this mess cleaned up by the time he gets home!)

what we find to do when the husbands are away! :-)
I,m visiting sally!
The quilt that you gave us as victoria's baby gift is her favorite blanket. We still treasure it and keep it on her bed. It is such a cute pattern with the little farmer girl and boy. Whatever you make will be great I am sure. Looks like fun!
